About the Opportunity

Tall Pines School is seeking a full‑time Vice Principal based in Brampton, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Head of School, this role couples educational leadership with administrative and operational oversight across the school.

The Vice Principal role involves:

  • Leading curriculum implementation, assessment, and alignment with IB and provincial standards
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations, including staff coverage, logistics, tech systems, and facilities support
  • Managing staff assignments, timetables, and professional development initiatives
  • Supporting student wellbeing, conduct, and a positive school-wide culture
  • Driving admissions, enrolment, and re‑enrolment processes
  • Coordinating administrative systems, school communications, and event planning
  • Ensuring compliance with Ministry regulations, school policy, and audit documentation
  • Contributing to strategic planning, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Building strong relationships across the school community, including alumni and parent stakeholders

About You

To be considered, you must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and bring proven classroom teaching experience, with preference for those who’ve worked in private or IB-accredited settings. Candidates with only a few years of teaching experience will only be considered if they demonstrate substantial leadership or industry background and strong professional maturity.

While Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification and completion of the Principal’s Qualification Program (PQP) are not mandatory, they are highly valued. Candidates with Specialist Additional Qualifications (AQs) or extensive leadership experience will also be strongly considered.

The following skills and experience will be strong assets:

  • Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum and Ministry of Education
  • Experience working in or leading IB-accredited or private school programs
  • Proficiency in school administrative systems, scheduling tools, and education technologies
  • Strong operational and logistical planning skills, including timetabling and compliance documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general tech literacy for devices, software, and network systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with staff, parents, and external partners
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and conflict resolution skills
