About the Opportunity
Tall Pines School is looking for multiple full-time Primary/Junior/Intermediate Teachers (IB PYP & MYP) based in Brampton, ON for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Reporting to the Head of School, you will play a pivotal role in delivering inquiry-based, student-centred learning through IB frameworks, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and international-mindedness in the classroom.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for designing and delivering engaging learning experiences through Units of Inquiry (PYP) or Units of Study (MYP), while supporting diverse student needs and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing school environment.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and delivering Units of Inquiry (PYP) or Units of Study (MYP) aligned with IB frameworks and Ontario curriculum expectations
- Adapting instruction to support a range of academic, social, and emotional learning needs, including the development of Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills
- Creating a nurturing, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment grounded in respect and collaboration
- Assessing student progress through formative and summative methods, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Communicating proactively and professionally with parents and school staff
- Supporting classroom operations, including coverage, transitions, and day-to-day learning activities
- Participating in school initiatives, extracurricular activities, and the wider school community
- Ensuring compliance with school policies and maintaining accurate documentation
About You
To be considered, you must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or related degree, along with a valid teaching certificate, substitute permit, or Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification (in progress or conditional status will also be considered). We are open to new graduates, as well as candidates with international teaching experience.
While prior experience is not mandatory, any teaching experience in an IB, private school, or similar educational environment will be highly regarded. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability across different grades and subjects will be essential.
The following skills and experience will be strong assets:
- Experience delivering or supporting IB PYP and/or MYP programmes
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and student-centred learning approaches
- Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learning needs
- Experience supporting literacy development (e.g., Orton-Gillingham or similar training is an asset)
- Proven classroom management skills in structured, student-focused environments
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Digital literacy across common education technologies and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in private school or international education settings
