About the Opportunity

Tall Pines School is seeking full-time Supply Teachers based in Brampton, Ontario.

Reporting directly to the Head of School, this role combines classroom instruction with broader support for students, teachers, and the school community.

The Supply Teacher role involves:

  • Reviewing and delivering lesson plans provided by regular teachers
  • Adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Maintaining a structured and respectful classroom environment
  • Providing support in classrooms during mentorship activities or high-enrolment periods
  • Assisting with clubs, activities, and other community initiatives
  • Taking attendance and completing required documentation
  • Communicating with staff and parents regarding student progress or concerns
  • Ensuring compliance with school policies and maintaining confidentiality

About You

To be considered, you must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or related degree, along with a valid teaching certificate, substitute permit, or Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification (in progress or conditional status will also be considered). We are open to new graduates, as well as candidates with international teaching experience.

While IB experience is not mandatory, familiarity with IB or private school settings will be an asset. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and adaptability across different grades and subjects will be essential.

  • Proven ability to maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment
  • Experience supporting diverse learning needs and adapting lessons
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general education technologies
  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal abilities
  • Initiative to contribute to clubs, activities, and the wider school community
